Once an assistant is connected, you ask for things in plain language and it works through Popcorn. This page shows what to ask for in each area, which requests will stop for your confirmation, and where the assistant deliberately cannot go. Everything depends on the access you approved and your Popcorn role; see Permissions and safety.

Campaigns and templates

The launch preview shows the audience, template, timing, and delivery details so you can check it before agreeing. Credits are charged as they are for any campaign; see Send a campaign and Credit usage.

Inbox

The assistant sees customer messages as information to work with, not instructions to follow. It should never send a message without first showing you the exact recipient, channel, and text. See Working conversations and Tags and macros.

Customers

Direct deletion covers up to 100 selected customers at a time. Larger deletions (up to 5,000 selected customers, or every customer in the workspace) run as a background job the assistant can follow and cancel; the set of customers is fixed when the preview is prepared, so customers added afterwards are never included. Either way, customers who have conversations are skipped unless you explicitly ask to include them. Imports never change a customer’s consent status unless you say so. See Customers.

Products, orders, shipping, and payment

See Product catalog, Recommendation rules, Orders, and Shipping and payment.

Analytics and performance

See Dashboard and Reports.

AI agents, tools, and Knowledge Base

Only published versions can go live, and routing a number to an agent requires that agent to have a published version. The assistant cannot chat with an unpublished agent to test it; use Agents in Popcorn for that. See Test and publish, Tools, and Knowledge Base.

Integrations and channels

For a store or Meta connection the assistant gives you a link: Channels → WhatsApp ready to connect (or Integrations for a catalog), where you click Login with Facebook yourself. See Integrations, WhatsApp, Website Chat, and WhatsApp button.

Team, settings, and billing

Credit packages are 1,000 credits each (up to 1,000 packages in one purchase). The purchase preview shows the exact amount and currency before you agree; the assistant never handles card numbers. Creating or editing roles is not available through assistants; do that under Settings → Roles & Permissions. See Team and roles and Top-ups and renewal.

Built-in workflows

Popcorn publishes four ready-made workflows. Depending on the assistant, they appear as selectable prompts or commands. Each one tells the assistant to read first, show you an exact preview, and wait for your confirmation.

Files

When a request needs a file, such as a template header image, a product photo, a Knowledge Base import, an agent avatar, an Inbox attachment, or a Website Chat icon, the assistant uploads it to Popcorn through a short-lived, checked upload (the upload link is valid for 15 minutes). Size limits: images (JPEG, PNG, WebP) up to 5 MB, MP4 video and audio up to 16 MB, PDF up to 10 MB, CSV up to 20 MB, plain text and JSON up to 5 MB. Images for Website Chat and the WhatsApp profile must be JPEG, PNG, or WebP.

What assistants cannot do

These are deliberately unavailable, regardless of your role:
  • Create API keys (they can list and revoke existing ones).
  • Create, edit, or delete roles.
  • Sign in to Shopify, Salla, Zid, Meta, or Slack for you, or accept their terms.
  • Enter card details or complete a bank authentication.
  • Test-chat with an agent before it is published.
  • Edit or delete automated campaigns (they can create, activate, deactivate, and read them).
  • Delete internal notes.
  • Reach any workspace other than the one your Popcorn account belongs to.
