Before you start
- A Zid store you can sign in to.
- A Popcorn role that can manage integrations (Owner or Admin).
- Allow popups for Popcorn: the authorization opens in a popup window.
Connect from Popcorn
1
Open Integrations
Go to Integrations and click Connect on the Zid card.
2
Approve access
A popup opens on Zid. Sign in and approve the access request.
3
Wait for confirmation
The popup closes on its own. Popcorn shows Successfully connected to Zid and the card reads Connected. If the popup closes without finishing, you see Failed to connect to Zid; click Connect again.
Connect from the Zid App Market
Installing Popcorn from the Zid App Market brings you to a Popcorn page titled Connect Your Zid Store. If you are not signed in, Popcorn asks you to sign in first and returns you to this page.1
Click Connect Zid Store
The page explains that you will be redirected to Zid to authorize the connection. A popup opens; complete the authorization there and keep the page open until it finishes.
2
Wait for confirmation
On success the page shows Your Zid store has been connected successfully! and sends you to Integrations. If it shows Connection failed or was cancelled. Please try again from the integrations page., use the Connect button on the Zid card.
What happens when you connect
- Popcorn saves your store ID and store URL.
- Popcorn subscribes to Zid notifications for product creation, updates, publishing and deletion, for new orders and order status and payment changes, and for customer creation and updates. Once a day Popcorn re-checks the order notifications it uses to keep stock current and restores any that are missing.
- A full product import and a full customer import start in the background. The card shows Resyncing products… until the product import finishes.
- Any Zid App Market subscription events received before the store was connected are applied now.
- Active automated campaigns get their Zid triggers re-registered, so Reconnect also repairs campaigns that stopped firing.
What syncs
Products- Name, description, images, product link, keywords, price and sale price. A sale price is used only while its sale period is active.
- Every product needs a SKU. Products without a SKU are skipped and do not appear in Popcorn.
- Published products are active in Popcorn. A parent product with variants is not sellable itself; its variants are the sellable products, and they inherit the parent’s images and link when they have none of their own.
- Stock comes from Zid stock levels. A product marked as infinite stock is treated as always available.
- Zid custom option fields and custom user input fields become product custom options, so the agent asks for them during checkout. See the synced catalog.
- Name, mobile number, email, city and country, and tags.
- Each imported customer shows Zid as its source on the customer profile. See customers.
VAT for Zid prices
Popcorn stores final customer prices. If your Zid store lists prices without VAT, go to Settings → General, find VAT Configuration and turn on Add VAT to Zid prices (Enable only if your Zid store shows prices without VAT.). Enter the VAT percentage (%), for example 15. The example shown in the app: Zid price 295.00 stored in Popcorn. VAT is added to both the price and the sale price. The setting applies on the next sync; click Resync products on the Zid card to apply it immediately.Ongoing updates
Zid access tokens are refreshed automatically. If Zid reports that the stored credentials are no longer valid, Popcorn clears them and syncs, orders and tracking stop working until you click Reconnect (or Connect) on the Zid card and authorize again.
Checkout and payment
When the agent completes a sale, Popcorn creates the order in Zid using the payment method the customer chose among the options you enable under Settings → Payment: Cash on Delivery (COD), Bank Transfer or Payment Link. Each is matched to the corresponding payment method in your Zid store. A Zid payment link created by Popcorn expires 24 hours after it is created. Zid prices the order when it is created: any automatic (store-wide) discount that the cart qualifies for is applied, and a discount code the customer gave is applied on top. The total Zid reports is what the customer sees in the confirmation message and what the order shows in Popcorn, so it can be lower than the summary the customer confirmed; a fully discounted order shows a total of 0. If no payment option is enabled in Popcorn yet, Cash on Delivery (COD) is enabled by default. See shipping and payment and orders.Shipping methods
Under Settings → Shipping, click Sync from Store to import your Zid delivery options. Each option arrives with its name, active status and the cities it covers. Zid does not provide fees, so enter the fee and delivery time for each method you select, then click Sync Selected.Order tracking
When a customer asks about an order, the agent looks it up in Zid by order number, or by the customer’s phone number to find their recent orders. The answer can include the order status, shipping method, estimated delivery, tracking number and tracking link, delivery status and the order’s history. Enable the agent’s Order Tracking capability to use this; see agent capabilities.Events for automated campaigns
These Zid events are available as triggers when you create an automated campaign:
For abandoned-cart messages, Popcorn checks whether that customer has placed an order since the cart was abandoned and skips the message if they have.
Subscription through the Zid App Market
If you buy a Popcorn plan in the Zid App Market, Zid notifies Popcorn and the plan is applied to the workspace whose connected Zid store matches. Popcorn recognises the Cheese plan (monthly and yearly) and plans named Salt or Cheese; a plan it does not recognise is treated as the free plan.
If you subscribe before connecting the store in Popcorn, the subscription is held and applied as soon as you connect. See plans and credits and top-ups and renewal.
