The Popcorn app for iPhone and Android is the Inbox in your pocket. It is built for the moments a conversation needs a person while you are away from your desk: you get a push notification, open the conversation, and reply. Everything else, from campaigns to agent settings, stays in the web dashboard.

What the app covers

Not in the app: campaigns, templates, automated campaigns, AI agent settings, Knowledge Base, products and orders, billing, macros, and conversation tags. Use the web dashboard for those.

1

Open the app and enter your email and password

Use the same login as the web dashboard. The screen reads Welcome back; enter your Email and Password and tap Sign In.
2

Allow notifications

Shortly after signing in, the app asks for permission to send notifications. Allow it if you want to be alerted when the app is closed.
Forgot your password? Tap Forgot password?, enter your email on the Reset password screen, and tap Send Reset Link. The link in the email stops working after 30 minutes. If the app tells you your session has expired, sign in again. If your phone supports it, the app can also unlock with Face ID, Touch ID, or a fingerprint; the Settings tab shows whether Biometric Authentication is Enabled or Disabled.

Work conversations

Folders

The Inbox tab has the same folders as the web Inbox, with shorter names: Search matches the customer’s name, phone number, and email. Pull down to refresh; scroll down to load more. See Inbox overview for what each folder means.

Reply and take over

Open a conversation. The composer has a Message tab and a Comment tab; comments are internal notes your customer never sees.
  • If the AI is handling the conversation, the composer shows Autopilot is on. Tap Disable Autopilot to take over; the conversation moves to My Inbox.
  • Outside the WhatsApp 24-hour window, the composer shows 24-hour window expired or Waiting for customer reply. Tap Send Template and pick an approved template. See The WhatsApp 24-hour window.
  • Swipe a message to reply to it with a quote.
  • Tap the attachment button to Take Photo, Choose Photo/Video (up to 10 at a time), or Choose Document. Add a caption if you like, then send. Messages are limited to 1,000 characters.
  • Tap the copy icon next to the phone number to copy it.

Conversation actions

Tap the menu in the conversation header:

Start a new conversation

Tap + on the Inbox tab to open New Conversation:
1

Search Customer

Enter a phone number or name. If nobody matches, tap Create New Contact, choose the country, and enter the phone number; the name is optional.
2

Select Sender Number

Pick which of your WhatsApp numbers sends the message, then tap Continue to Templates.
3

Select Template

Choose an approved template. Turn on Continue by AI if the agent should handle the customer’s reply.
4

Start Chat

The template is sent and the conversation opens.

Push notifications

Push notifications are off until you switch on Push Notifications in the Settings tab. Switching it on turns on three notification types for you and adds your phone to them: Unassigned messages, Customer replies, and Conversation assignments. Handovers are not sent to the phone. Tapping a notification opens the conversation, and the app icon badge shows your unread count. If you later turn one of those events off in the web dashboard under Settings → Notifications, the phone stays quiet for it. See Profile and notifications.
