When the AI agent’s Checkout capability is on, it can collect an address and create an order inside the conversation. Settings → Shipping tells it where you deliver and what delivery costs; Settings → Payment tells it which payment methods it may offer. Without these, the agent has no shipping fee to add and no payment method to ask for.

Before you start

  • Both pages are listed for anyone with orders view access (every predefined role); saving needs orders edit access (Owner, Admin, Manager). See Team and roles.
  • Turn on Checkout for the agent under its Configuration tab; see Capabilities.
  • The shipping page behaves differently depending on which store is connected. With Shopify, the title is Delivery Coverage and fees are left to Shopify’s checkout. With Zid, Salla or no store, the title is Shipping Options and you set fees and delivery times in Popcorn.

Shipping options

This is the page you get with a Zid or Salla store, or with no store connected. Each option is a delivery method with a fee, a delivery window and the countries and cities it covers. During checkout the agent first checks the customer’s country: if you have active options but none covers that country, the agent is told delivery is not available there and asks for a supported city or country. It then picks the first active option that covers the customer’s city and adds its fee to the order. If no option matches the city (or you have no options at all), the order is still created with a shipping fee of 0.
1

Add an option

Go to Settings → Shipping and click Add Shipping Option.
2

Describe it

Fill in Shipping Name, Fee, Min Delivery Time (days) and optionally Max Delivery Time, Free Shipping Threshold and Channel Shipping ID. Leave Active on.
3

Choose where it applies

Under Countries, type to search and tick each country. Every country starts as All cities; click Customize to tick individual cities, then Save Selection.
4

Save

Click Save. The page confirms “Shipping option saved”.
The table shows every option with its Shipping ID (a code Popcorn assigns, such as P042), Status (Active or Inactive) and a View Locations link listing each country as Countrywide or by city. The row menu offers Edit and Delete.

Sync from Store

Sync from Store pulls the shipping methods defined in your Zid or Salla store so you do not retype them.
  1. Click Sync from Store. Popcorn lists each method with its store status, marked New or Already synced.
  2. Tick the methods to import. For each one, enter Fee and Min Days (both required), and optionally Max Days and Free Shipping Threshold; the store does not always provide these, so Popcorn asks you.
  3. If any option that is active in Popcorn is disabled or missing in the store, it is listed under a warning; tick Deactivate Selected to switch it off in Popcorn too.
  4. Click Sync Selected. The page confirms “Shipping methods synced successfully!” or reports how many failed.
If no store is connected, the dialog reads “No e-commerce platform connected. Connect Zid or Salla to sync shipping methods.”

Delivery Coverage (Shopify)

With a Shopify store, shipping rates and delivery windows are handled in Shopify’s checkout, so Popcorn only needs to know where you deliver: “Countries and cities Popcorn can accept before sending a Shopify checkout.” Click Add Delivery Coverage, give it a Shipping Name, select Countries and cities, and Save. The table shows only Shipping ID, Name, Status, Locations and Actions; Sync from Store is not offered. With Shopify, coverage is enforced: if you have active coverage and the customer’s city is not in it, the order is not created and the agent asks for a supported city or country.

Payment methods

Open Settings → Payment. The agent only offers the methods that are on. A new workspace starts with cash on delivery on. If you turn every method off, Popcorn copies the payment methods reported by your connected store the next time the agent needs them. Click Save changes; the page confirms “Payment settings saved”. Changing methods updates the choices the agent presents in its next conversation.

What the customer sees

  1. The agent asks for the delivery address (on WhatsApp through an address form; in Saudi Arabia it can use the national address). See Orders.
  2. It checks the city against your shipping coverage and quotes the delivery window and fee.
  3. It asks for a payment method from those you enabled and creates the order, adding the shipping fee and, for cash on delivery, the CoD fee.
  4. For bank transfer it sends your bank details; for payment link it sends the link; the order appears under Orders and in your store.
