The marketplace is where custom tools are shared between Popcorn workspaces. Open it with Tools Showcase on the Tools page (the same place is called Tools Marketplace on a tool’s page and Open Marketplace on an agent page). Anything listed there was published by a Popcorn workspace and can be added to yours.

What is shared when a tool is public

Public tools are visible to every Popcorn workspace, not only your team. Before you publish, check that the URL and parameter descriptions contain nothing you would not show a stranger.
Someone who adds your tool gets a copy with empty header values and must enter their own. They cannot see yours. Because other workspaces’ agents will read your tool exactly as you wrote it, check three things before publishing:
  • The Description and parameter descriptions explain the tool to someone who has never seen your system.
  • The URL is reachable from any Popcorn workspace, not only yours.
  • No Default value contains a secret: default values are copied along with the tool.

Make a tool public

Save the tool first

A tool must be saved before it can be shared; otherwise you see Tool must be saved before making it public. Open the tool from Tools (or stay on the New Tool page right after clicking Save Tool).

Open the Showcase tab

Click the Showcase tab. It reads Make your tool public.

Upload an image

Click Upload image and choose a JPEG, PNG, GIF or WebP up to 5 MB. Make Tool Public stays disabled until an image is set.

Publish it

Click Make Tool Public. The toast Tool Published confirms it, the tab now reads Tool is public, and the tool’s card on Tools shows a checkmark.
There is no button to make a public tool private again.

Remove a tool from the marketplace

Delete the tool: on Tools, click the trash icon on its card and confirm Confirm Deletion. The listing disappears from the Showcase. Copies that other workspaces already added keep working, because each copy is independent. Deletion is refused with Make sure it’s not connected to any AI Agents while one of your agents has the tool turned on. Turn it off in the agent’s Tools section, publish the agent, then delete.

The Showcase page

Tools Showcase shows a card for every public tool with its image, name and description, and a Search for a tool box that matches names and descriptions. New Tool in the header starts a tool of your own. When nothing matches your search, the page reads No tools found.

Add a public tool to your workspace

Find the tool

On Tools, click Tools Showcase. Use Search for a tool to filter by name or description, then click a card.

Read what it does

The Tool tab lists the setup steps; the Description tab shows the author’s description.

Add it

Click Add Tool. The toast Tool Added confirms it and you return to Tools, where the copy now appears.

Enter your own credentials

Open the copy from Tools, go to API Configuration, fill in every header Value (they are empty on purpose), review the URL and parameters, and click Save Tool.

Connect it to an agent

Open the agent, turn the tool on in its Tools section, then Save & review and Publish changes. Test with Test Agent. See Create a custom tool for the full connection and testing steps.

What you get

  • The copy is yours: edit it, rename it, or delete it without affecting the original or anyone else’s copy.
  • Updates the author makes later do not reach your copy. Add the tool again if you want the newer version, then delete the old copy.
  • The copy is private unless you make it public yourself.
